I’ve always been very sceptical about distance learning. I was afraid of not being properly taught by the tutor. After 9 years as a stay at home mum I wanted a career I could easily fit in around my family. A friend suggested I retrain as a bookkeeper, however, due to family commitments it needed to be a course I could access online and at my own pace.
After googling the subject and looking at all the options available I chose McArthur online and have had no regrets in making that decision.   My timing was off to start with as I choose this new study path 2 months before lockdown and so my study time took a back seat for homeschooling.

However, I finally got back on track and completed the course this past week with a pass. It also helps that he explains the information in a very easy to understand way for the absolute beginner.

I am a Filipina who moved to the UK with my family in December 2021. Trying to find something to do while settling into a new country, I decided to start studying again having been a full-time mum for 8 years. My husband is a Chartered Accountant and we are thinking of setting up our own practice, so I decided to get a qualification which is related to accounting. Bookkeeping is the one I went for. I completed AAT Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping (Level 2) with McArthur Online to gain a qualification to support my role. The online and printed materials received were easy to follow and informative.

The tutor and administration support are quick to reply and help with any queries. I have now signed up for AAT Level 3 Certificate in Bookkeeping Q2022 with McArthur Online and would recommend them to anyone.

I previously studied Level 1 Bookkeeping with McArthur Online and am almost half of the way through Level 2. The course materials they provide and teach through are great. It is all broken down into manageable chunks. Anything that is a little more complicated, Jon manages to explain in different ways to help your understanding.

Now that I am at Level 2 and learning in more depth, they have started providing additional practice materials, which I have found really useful to fully understand what I’m being taught. The service you get is fabulous. I have needed to contact Emma several times – she always responds quickly and is very friendly and helpful. On top of that, their prices are also incredibly competitive compared to other providers. I would highly recommend them.

Having never studied online before I was apprehensive to start but it’s been a great experience! The lessons were easy to follow and well explained. Whilst the lessons were easy to follow and broke the material down well, it was good to know if I was struggling Jon was available for further help. A brilliant course which I would definitely recommend. I chose this company as they were recommended to me by a work colleague. I did the Level 2 bookkeeping alongside working full time and my other hobbies. It fitted in well but it’s important to have some time you can set aside to dedicate and focus on studying.

The tutors are great and offer plenty of support. The online tutorials give you everything you need and guide you through step by step. The exams were also super easy to book. If I decide to do the next level, I will definitely stick with McArthur Online.

I recently completed the AAT level 2 bookkeeping course with McArthur Online. The tutorials were very clear, detailed, and easy to follow. The topics were well broken down with questions to answer after each video to ensure you understood what was being taught. This made it very easy for me to complete the course at my own pace with 2 young children at home.
