Having worked in finance for a number of years, my manager suggested that I complete my
AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting to strengthen my professional skill set. I searched online
and came upon McArthur Online and liked what I read about the course, the way they teach
and their success rate and as I work full time I needed a course to do online.
Throughout the course I have found Jon and Emma McArthur to be very supportive and the
materials and online portal easy to use if you are ever in any need of help they are only an
email away. Jon makes the tutorials so easy to watch especially for someone like myself who
hasn’t done any kind of studying for years.
I have now completed level 3 and the whole experience has been so positive that I am
already considering starting level 4. The new skills I have learned, and existing skills that I
have strengthened, are helping me to be more efficient in my job role and have allowed me
to explore new responsibilities. I would 100% recommend McArthur Online to anyone
considering an AAT qualification.

I have now completed my AAT level 2 and level 3 with McArthur Online and I couldn’t be happier with the tuition and support I’ve received. Jon manages to pack all the information you need into the concise and easily digestible video lessons and provides examples to help add some extra context where it’s needed.

The video lessons being on average around 30 minutes to an hour long makes them easy to fit into your busy day and relieves the pressure of feeling like you have
to set aside a big chunk of time to study.

At the end of each module there are videos where Jon goes through the AAT practice exams which I’ve always found very helpful, the practice exams are exactly how the real exams will be and Jon takes the time to cover all the options you have in the exam like flagging questions,
highlighting sections and accessing the references tab so you have no surprises when you sit your exam and know exactly how everything is going to work.

Emma has been very supportive throughout both my level 2 and 3 qualifications and is always very quick to respond to any emails. On the days when I’ve received exam results Emma has always emailed me with congratulations and feedback within minutes of my results being released by the AAT which really showed how much she cares about the students studying with McArthur Online.

I will be signing up with them again to study my AAT level 4.

I decided to continue my studies after Level 3 Bookkeeping so I’m so delighted to have also passed the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting. I couldn’t have done it without Jon’s excellent teaching videos and Emma’s impeccable communication. I always knew they were there to support me if I had any questions which made the course so much more personal. Working full time and studying is tiring, but the fact that there was no time pressure to take the exams made the whole experience more achievable and enjoyable! If I progress to Level 4, I will definitely be doing it with McArthur Online.

I started my journey towards a change in career during covid and decided on McArthur Online as the tutor towards my AAT accounting qualifications. I completed level 2, and then on to level 3, completing both with a merit. I am now on the new Q2022 level 4, it has got ever more difficult, but Jon’s teaching style, and careful explanations mean that each topic is covered and comprehended without any stress. The beauty of online learning is you can watch each video time and time again until the penny drops! This is also a bonus when you are juggling a busy career. With tutor support at the end of an email, you are covered. I might be needing this support by the end of level 4!

I can honestly say I’m very happy with my experience with McArthur Online AAT Level 3. It is more affordable than any college course option with the same quality of the content (or better, like in my experience in comparison to my college-provided level 2 course). In this course, you still receive your books via post if you prefer to study by reading, but you also have a series of recorded video lectures by a well-spoken and knowledgeable tutor, which really does matter when it comes to explaining accounting!

The website is easy to navigate so you can literally start straight away as soon as you ordered the course without anyone’s guidance or help. The option to study from the comfort of my own home really appealed to me; you can always get back to more difficult or tricky parts of the lecture at any point by just a click of a button and the option to watch as many times as possible. It also frees faster students, like myself, from the burden of waiting for the rest of the classroom to catch up and therefore it offers the option to complete the course in a shorter period of time. I completed level 3 in 7 months, but this whole time I had the comfort of knowing that I could take much more time if I needed it. There is always the option to ask questions, but I felt the modules were well explained and I found that I never even needed to. At the end of each module, the tutor shows step by step how to correctly go through both practice assessment on the AAT website so you can check how the model answers are achieved rather than just view them.

Generally, I can definitely recommend this course and if I go on to start level 4, McArthur Online is definitely the one I will choose.

I’m so happy I have chosen McArthur Online as my training provider for accounting level 3. I was a little worried at the beginning, as I have completed my level 2 based in class years ago, and wasn’t sure if the online course can provide the same high quality service. After one month of studying, I couldn’t have been more satisfied, I got all the learning materials and online lessons which supported my study efficiently. I studied at my own pace with continued support of the tutor. I really like Jon’s videos, he explains everything very clearly and is memorable. Emma is also very supportive, they always reply to the emails very quickly even late at night or on weekends.

I had never used an online training provider so was a bit apprehensive. I needn’t have been. Emma and Jon have both been very helpful whenever I have needed advice, guidance, technical help or detailed explanations (sometimes repeatedly). After studying Foundation in Accounting AQ2016 level 2 with McArthur Online and achieved a Distinction, I carried on with level 3. Needless to say, level 3 is much harder and I found myself having more incorrect answers while taking on the mock tests. But Jon has been very patient repeatedly replying to my emails with answers and explanations until I got the key points of the correct answer. As AQ2016 was being retired there was so much pressure to pass the exams so I could move on to the next subjects.

With Emma’s supportive recommendation on the order of the assessments to sit and Jon’s tutorial support, I completed level 3 with a Distinction in time. With affordable fees and the training quality that helps me to achieve first time passes for all exams with high marks, I couldn’t be happier and more grateful. Completing AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting around a toddler and working 5 days a week seems like a tall ask but McArthur Online Training made it so feasible. The course material is available 24/7 and the online tutorials are structured in a very manageable and practical way, with lots of examples for a better understanding of the material.
