Who is it for?
The Level 1 Access award in bookkeeping is a cost efficient way of gaining a professional accountancy qualification.
This qualification has no entry requirements and is perfect for young people and those taking their first step on the career ladder.
As well as getting a taster of what it’s like to work in a professional environment, you will pick up accounting terms and get support with literacy and numeracy. This is particularly useful for students who have not worked in an office environment, and for those whom English is not their first language.
With 6 hours per week of study, it is possible to complete this qualification in as little as a month.
The Access Award in Bookkeeping can lead to employment as:
- Assistant bookkeeper
- Assistant cashier
- Accounts junior
- Sales/Purchase ledger assistant
This qualification leads to the Level 2 Foundation Certificates in either Accountancy or Bookkeeping.
You can confirm that this is the correct level for you by using the AAT Skillcheck
